Since 1936, when the partnership began with Francis W. McGinley practicing law in the old Glens Falls Insurance Company Building, FitzGerald Morris Baker Firth has carried on a tradition of excellence, integrity, teamwork and advocacy that allows our clients to begin the legal process from a position of strength.

In 1949 J. Robert LaPann and John W. Reardon formed a partnership known as LaPann & Reardon with offices at 183 Glen Street. Robert C. Morris joined Mr. McGinley's firm on August 1, 1966 and the partnership of McGinley and Morris was formed in February 1970 continuing until Mr. McGinley's death on July 23, 1982.

In 1971 Peter A. Firth and Peter D. FitzGerald became partners in LaPann & Reardon and the name of LaPann, Reardon, FitzGerald & Firth was adopted on March 15, 1974. Carl T. Baker became a partner in the firm on January 1, 1983. The firm had offices at 55 Elm Street until December 1985 when they moved to the present suite at One Broad Street Plaza.

On July 1, 1986, the firms of McGinley & Morris and LaPann, Reardon, FitzGerald & Firth merged becoming known as LaPann, Reardon, Morris, FitzGerald & Firth, P.C. John W. Reardon retired from the firm in December 1988. LaPann, Reardon, Morris, FitzGerald & Firth P.C. dissolved on August 31, 1990.

On September 1, 1990, these four well-respected Glens Falls attorneys, Robert C. Morris, Peter D. FitzGerald, Peter A. Firth and Carl T. Baker, formed the law firm of FitzGerald Morris Baker Firth to provide the upstate region with a team-oriented and skilled firm committed to client-service, excellence and integrity.

The new firm of FitzGerald Morris Baker Firth became a Professional Corporation on January 1, 1991 and adopted the name of FitzGerald Morris Baker Firth PC

In May, 2006, the firm opened a second office, in Washington County at 3019 State Route 4, Hudson Falls, New York.
