John Aspland is the firm’s Managing Partner and a leader in the Litigation practice group, with concentration in general litigation, personal injury, insurance defense, criminal defense, employment litigation, civil rights, and municipal law. Mr. Aspland joined the firm as an Associate Attorney in 2002, became a Partner in 2004, and was appointed Managing Partner in 2016.
Mr. Aspland is admitted to practice in New York, and is a member of the New York State Bar Association, Warren County Bar Association, Washington County Bar Association, and Suffolk County Bar Association. He is also admitted to the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the United States District Court, Northern and Eastern Districts of New York.
Mr. Aspland earned his Juris Doctor from the Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center, Touro College. He received his undergraduate degree, with honors, from Siena College.
Mr. Aspland is the Attorney of Record for the Towns of Hartford and AuSable, New York; former Attorney of Record for the Towns of Fort Ann, Broadalbin, and Kingsbury, New York; a member of the Defense Research Institute NENY; and a member of and lecturer for the Public Risk Management Association (PRIMA).
